Beauty and speed — a philosophy released onto the open road.
Brough Superior AMB 002 Roadster

AMB 001, and then AMB 001 PRO. Together they form the AMB series that Aston Martin and Brough Superior have built side by side. Where the AMB 001, born in 2019, and the AMB 001 PRO, unveiled in 2022, belonged to the circuit — a world of pure, undiluted speed — the AMB 002 Roadster releases that philosophy onto the open road for the first time. A completely new roadster, designed from the ground up for the joy of riding on public roads. Flowing forms, condensed proportions and a lightweight chassis. And engineering that answers the rider’s intent with absolute sharpness. The design language drawn by Aston Martin and the singular technology cultivated by Brough Superior become one, on a new stage — the road itself.

Design & Character ── The beauty of function, alive in form.

The form of the AMB 002 is defined by flowing lines, concentrated proportions, and precisely sculpted carbon fibre. Conceived as a sports motorcycle with the rider at its very centre, every essential element has been refined to its purest expression, creating a sense of motion that seems to propel the machine forward even while standing still. The philosophy of the Aston Martin design studio is expressed in every curve and detail that shapes the AMB 002. Particularly striking is the transition from the carbon-fibre fuel tank into the side fairings. Their surfaces describe calm, fluid contours reminiscent of pebbles smoothed and polished over time. This uninterrupted flow rises naturally around the rider, embracing the body as they tuck into the motorcycle. Set into the smooth bodywork are crescent-shaped air slits, introducing an elegant visual accent. Air passing through them assists engine cooling while also managing airflow around the motorcycle. Born from function, these forms become an integral part of the AMB 002’s visual beauty. The low-mounted mirrors are supported by slender, lightweight wire-form arms. Even within these delicate details, the AMB 002’s relentless pursuit of lightness is clearly expressed. Throughout its refined silhouette, Aston Martin’s design DNA is unmistakable. The side strake, one of Aston Martin’s defining design signatures, has been reinterpreted specifically for the AMB 002. It cuts through the side fairing, extends forward, and continues around the headlight in one flowing gesture. The ribbed heat sinks incorporated into the twin oval exhausts recall the exhaust finishers seen on the Vanquish, DB12 S, and DBX S. At the rear, the continuous light blade carries design cues associated with Aston Martin hypercars such as the Vulcan, Valkyrie, and Valhalla. Aston Martin’s cultivated sense of beauty and craftsmanship has been transformed into a new expression through the medium of the motorcycle, living within every detail of the AMB 002.

Technology ── Lightness and precision, all of it for the road.

At the heart of the AMB 002 is an entirely new 1,083cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke V-twin engine. Producing 130 bhp and 110 Nm of maximum torque, it delivers commanding thrust from low to mid-range revs before building smoothly and exhilaratingly toward the upper reaches of the rev range. Its purpose is not simply to pursue absolute figures. Each opening of the throttle brings power forward with a natural immediacy, responding intuitively to the rider’s intent. This is a power unit engineered to transform every such moment into pure riding pleasure. Engine design, machining and assembly are carried out entirely at the Brough Superior workshop in Toulouse, France. The engine cases are CNC-machined from solid billet, with every detail developed in pursuit of reduced weight and structural efficiency. Toulouse is internationally renowned as a centre of the aerospace industry, and the advanced machining expertise and deep understanding of materials cultivated there underpin the precision engineering of the AMB 002.

Supporting the newly developed V-twin is a titanium frame based on Brough Superior’s distinctive backbone architecture. Machined from a single solid piece of titanium, this structure functions as the spine of the motorcycle while weighing just 5 kg. This uncompromising reduction in mass contributes to an ideal 50:50 front-to-rear weight distribution. Carbon-fibre body panels and a carbon-fibre fuel tank further lower the centre of gravity and concentrate mass toward the centre of the motorcycle. The result is a completed machine weighing 190 kg. Combined with the generous torque available from low revs, this lightweight construction allows the AMB 002 to unite forceful performance with exceptional agility. At the front, the AMB 002 employs Brough Superior’s signature double-wishbone Fior-type fork, further refined specifically for this machine. Unlike a conventional telescopic fork, this continuously evolving system separates the forces generated by steering and braking while allowing precise control of the front-end geometry.

Developed further from the system proven on the AMB 001 PRO, it combines immediate steering response with unwavering stability through high-speed corners. The inherent anti-dive characteristics of the Fior-type fork help minimise changes in chassis attitude under heavy braking, revealing their particular advantage when braking while the motorcycle is leaned over. At the same time, the system plays an important role in the visual identity of the machine. Its distinctive front-end architecture creates a sense of unity throughout the motorcycle and contributes decisively to the unmistakable design language of Brough Superior.

Lightness, rigidity, weight distribution and an original suspension architecture. Every element of the AMB 002 exists to transmit the rider’s intentions to the road with uncompromised clarity. The objective was never simply to create a fast motorcycle. It was to create a machine that sharpens the rider’s senses with every input, every corner and every opening of the throttle. That precision, and the exhilaration it inspires, define the true character of this roadster.

Roadster Experience ── As if gliding above the road.

What the AMB 002 pursued was never speed alone. An upright riding position and a wide, entirely unobstructed field of view. A light chassis, abundant torque and precise steering come together to create a more direct sense of unity between rider and machine. Thierry Henriette, President of Brough Superior, likens that sensation to becoming one with a light, precise blade: keenly sharpened, yet responding naturally to the rider’s will. The machine changes its attitude effortlessly towards wherever the rider looks, running on as though gliding above the road surface. The tension conveyed by its appearance, and the lightness felt the instant it is ridden — where those two overlap, the roadster experience unique to the AMB 002 is born. And what supports that experience is an uncompromising attitude towards materials and manufacturing. Carbon fibre, titanium, machined metal, and leather tailored by the hands of craftsmen. Each material is given its role and bound together into a single motorcycle. In pursuit of a precision and craftsmanship that mass production can never reach, the AMB 002 is built one machine at a time. Production is limited to 300 units worldwide, with first deliveries scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2027.

This motorcycle is truly one of a kind, both in its design and in the way it is ridden. Its performance is as vivid as its visual impact. This finely honed roadster delivers a sensation full of excitement — the feeling of becoming one with a light, precise blade. And what pushes that body forward is a completely new engine, more powerful than anything before it. An upright riding position combined with a completely unobstructed field of view creates a unique sensation of gliding above the road surface, with absolute confidence and complete control.
