Brough Superior

Moto Corse is honored to announce that, beginning October 1, 2025, we will serve as the official and exclusive importer of Brough Superior, the legendary luxury motorcycle marque born in the United Kingdom and admired for more than a century by discerning riders around the world.

Founded in 1919 by George Brough, Brough Superior quickly claimed its place in history when, in 1922, the founder himself set the world’s first average-speed record for a production motorcycle: an extraordinary 160 km/h. This achievement not only established global acclaim but also defined the brand’s unwavering pursuit of the highest standards. The model designation “S.S.100” signified a guarantee of 100-mph performance, with each machine delivered only after its capability had been personally verified. Every motorcycle was crafted in bespoke form to suit the desires of its owner—an approach that, together with exceptional performance, uncompromising quality, and unmistakable design, led to Brough Superior being hailed as “the Rolls-Royce of Motorcycles.” Production of civilian models came to an end in 1940 due to the outbreak of the Second World War, yet many authentic examples remain today, treasured and traded at exceptionally high values.

George Brough

Thierry Henriette

In 2013, in France, a marque defined by unwavering values and timeless admiration was revived. Guided by profound respect for Brough Superior, French motorcycle designer Thierry Henriette reawakened the legendary name, honoring its historic achievements while reinterpreting the brand’s enduring spirit of tradition and innovation through modern engineering. The result was a singular presence—reborn with a distinctive aesthetic that bridges past and future.

We, too, hold deep affinity with Brough Superior’s spirit of “tradition and innovation.” It is a privilege beyond measure to be entrusted with the role of introducing this extraordinary brand—revived after seventy years—to the Japanese market alongside the manufacturer. A motorcycle bearing the Brough Superior name is far more than a means of travel; it is a lifelong companion and a moving work of art. We aspire to share its true worth with riders and collectors in Japan and, together with our esteemed customers, continue writing the next chapter of this remarkable legacy.

Models Introduced in Japan

The models offered to the Japanese market represent the very essence of the modern Brough Superior lineage. From initial design and engineering—carried out within the marque’s headquarters in Toulouse, near the French–Spanish border— to the machining of critical components such as the engine’s crankcases and cylinders, the front fork, rear swingarm, handlebar, and the titanium frame, each element is crafted with uncompromising precision. Welding of the titanium seat frame and exhaust system, the intricate assembly of the powerplant, the exquisitely executed paintwork, and the creation of hand-stitched Nappa leather seats—all are entrusted to master artisans within the company. Nearly every stage of production, from the fabrication of core structural parts to the final assembly of the motorcycle, is performed in-house, resulting in a machine that stands as a true handcrafted masterpiece—a crystallization of engineering, craftsmanship, and artistry that gives rise to a new chapter in the legend of Brough Superior.

As One Who Honors Tradition and Spirit

The story of Brough Superior, born in 1919 from the conviction of George Brough, continues to shine through more than a century. It is not a mere chronology of history but a legacy woven and protected by those who have been captivated by the brand — a true inheritance of spirit.

In today’s motorcycle world, new functions, output numbers, and electronic controls often define value. While such features undoubtedly enhance riding pleasure, they have also led many brands and models to resemble one another. Brough Superior stands apart. Its value exists on an entirely different plane — incomparable, unimitable, and crafted uniquely for each owner through bespoke construction. It is neither bound by numerical competition nor performance supremacy, but defined by beauty, engineering, philosophy, dignity, and the living spirit of its creators. Each machine becomes a timeless work of art that forms its own universe, delivering an exalted sense of elation and fulfillment.

Inspired by Thierry Henriette, current president of Brough Superior, we honor the brand’s tradition and spirit. In a country where motorcycle culture is not deeply rooted, we are committed to sharing the value of this rare and extraordinary marque with those who understand its essence, and together, continue the history Brough Superior has shaped.
